Some Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to demand that Helder Costa is handed more starts, after the forward turned in a positive cameo appearance in the 1-0 loss to Swansea.

The Portuguese attacker, signed from Wolves this summer, came off the bench against the Swans in the 71st-minute and had a significant impact on the game, before Wayne Routledge’s stoppage time winner put a dampener on proceedings.

Costa, 25, only played around 20 minutes but still managed to complete three dribbles and one key pass, whilst also drawing one foul – he made successful tackles as well.

Since signing for the club, Costa has made six Championship appearances, all from the bench, as he faces a struggle to break into Marcelo Bielsa’s starting XI.
