WHAT HAPPENED?
The U.S. men's national team pulled off a dramatic 2-2 (4-3) shootout win over Costa Rica on Sunday night to book a trip to the Gold Cup semifinals against Guatemala.
After the win, the name that was on everyone's minds was Matt Freese, the USMNT goalkeeper who made a case to be the starter at next year's World Cup after making three saves in the tense shootout. The NYCFC star was incredible in goal against the CONCACAF rival.
