WHAT HAPPENED?
Scarr joined Wrexham from Plymouth Argyle in the summer but has yet to make his League One debut for the club. Nevertheless, he has been keeping a close eye on Birmingham's form; having been relegated last season, they have started the campaign with three wins and one draw from four games. They also have a big-name in the director's box, with Tom Brady owning a share of the club, compared to Wrexham's Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Scarr is a Birmingham fan and previously spent three years on the books at the club, although he only played one senior game. Nevertheless, he insists that he and his Wrexham team-mates are solely determined to stop their ascent towards promotion, even though the season remains young.

WHAT SCARR SAID
Speaking to The Athletic, he said: “What’s been going on there is crazy.
“Good for the city and, being a Birmingham City fan, it is great for them. The atmosphere will be electric and it’s a sellout. There’s also the bragging rights between the owners, both being American and stuff like that.
“But we want to stop that (title-winning) parade. Everything else doesn’t matter.”
