Fabrizio Romano shares Thomas Tuchel "guarantee"
da gbg bet: Man United may have named their interim manager for the rest of the season in Michael Carrick, but the drama is only just getting started. INEOS still have the task of finding a long-term replacement for Ruben Amorim and will once again find themselves back to square one in the summer.
As such, the rumour mill has been packed full of impressive names who the Red Devils could hire as of late. That includes both Roberto De Zerbi and England boss Tuchel.
Both met Old Trafford chiefs when the job was available in the past and both will be back in contention this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Tuchel would make sense for a number of reasons, not least because he already knows some of Man United’s reported transfer targets well from his time in charge of England.

It was the German who decided to make Anderson a key member of the Three Lions’ side ahead of the 2026 World Cup and that comes at a time when both Man United and Manchester City are chasing his signature. But he’s not the only name Tuchel will be familiar with.
Man Utd now targeting Alex Scott
As reported by TeamTalk, Man United are now targeting Alex Scott. The Bournemouth midfielder was handed his first senior England call-up by Tuchel earlier this season and could be an ideal alternative to Anderson if the Red Devils miss out on the Nottingham Forest man.
Scott has quietly taken his game to a new level this season, despite Bournemouth’s inconsistency, with United pundit Mark Goldbridge going so far as to compare him to “prime Roy Keane” when the Cherries grabbed a dramatic 4-4 draw at Old Trafford.
More importantly, he has also earned praise from Tuchel when he was called up to Three Lions duty: “He did an excellent job in midfield together with Elliot Anderson, who is now a regular starter for us – he was very impressive.
“Then he took another step and becomes a very a regular starter for AFC Bournemouth and they are in the top third of the league. They are over-performing constantly and he is a starter for them.

“He puts the intensity in and he gets his minutes. So, we thought it was maybe a perfect time to reward him and get to know him and to see what he can bring to our team.”
