da gbg bet: Arsenal have reignited their interest in Real Madrid winger Rodrygo ahead of the January transfer window, and talks have reportedly been held with representatives.
Arsenal plot Rodrygo move amid slender two-point Premier League lead
da 888casino: The north Londoners currently sit atop the Premier League table with 39 points from 17 matches and hold a slim two-point advantage over Man City as they head into the Christmas period in pole position.
However, Mikel Arteta’s side have finished as runners-up in each of the last three campaigns, and surely understand better than anyone that leading at this stage offers no guarantees of silverware in May.
While sporting director Andrea Berta spent nearly £270 million on new recruits in the summer, the prospect of a winter signing or two hasn’t entirely been ruled out.
Arsenal’s pursuit of attacking reinforcements in particular could stem from ongoing uncertainty surrounding the long-term futures of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard, with both players out of contract in 2027.

The BBC reported in November that one of Trossard or Martinelli leaving next month may result in Arsenal signing another winger, and reports from Turkey claim the latter could be offered to Fenerbahçe.
Given Trossard’s superb form this term, Martinelli appears the more likely of the pair to leave, even if the Brazilian has scored in every single one of Arsenal’s Champions League games this season.
This could theoretically open the door for Rodrygo to come in next month, with TEAMtalk and journalist Graeme Bailey now sharing an update.
Arsenal given Rodrygo reply after holding January talks with agents
They report that Arsenal have maintained a strong interest in the Brazilian throughout recent months, with the Gunners holding exploratory talks via intermediaries about a potential January deal.
The 24-year-old emerged as a genuine Arsenal target during the summer window when discussions took place about the feasibility of a transfer, with Tottenham and Liverpool also monitoring his situation at that time.
Rodrygo was understood to be open to moving to England and experiencing a new challenge in the Premier League, though talks ultimately failed to move beyond the preliminary stages.
Arsenal’s interest then re-emerged in recent weeks after Rodrygo faced competition for his starting place under new Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso, with uncertainty over his role prompting them to explore whether a January move might be possible.
However, TT sources at Real Madrid have now confirmed that neither Rodrygo nor Vinícius Júnior will be permitted to leave the Bernabeu this winter.
As a result, Arsenal have been told that Rodrygo won’t be joining, at least not next month, even though they’re still very keen on the winger heading into 2026.

Berta and co are apparently weighing up a ‘statement’ mid-season signing to fuel their title charge, but a source is quoted telling TEAMtalk that Rodrygo and Vinicius are ‘huge players’ and won’t be allowed to depart.
Rodrygo’s recent form has vindicated Madrid’s decision to keep him, with the Brazil international delivering an outstanding performance in their 2-0 victory over Sevilla on Saturday.
He provided the assist for Jude Bellingham’s opener with a perfectly delivered free-kick before winning the late penalty that Kylian Mbappé converted, with the Frenchman equalling Cristiano Ronaldo’s club record of 59 goals in a calendar year.
Rodrygo would’ve certainly been a head-turning acquisition for Arteta’s side, but if they really do want to bring in a big name, they may need to look elsewhere.
